The race for the top four

Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool, Man United start as the AI's most likely top four. The chasing pack is where the simulations disagree most, and where a strong opening month moves the numbers fastest.

The relegation battle

Promoted clubs start with the lowest ratings, so the model opens with them deepest in the drop zone. Every point they take rewrites these numbers.

How the AI works it out

Every club carries an Elo rating. For each remaining fixture the model builds a draw-aware Elo-to-Poisson forecast of the score, samples a result from it, and fills in the table: three points for a win, one for a draw, goal difference then goals scored as the tie-breakers. It repeats that for the whole season 10,000 times. Matches already played are locked in as real results, so the simulation always starts from the live table.

The same model makes a call on every single match on the Predictor. Beat it there, climb the Leaderboard, and check the Schedule for kick-off times.

The honest caveat

Pre-season, the model leans entirely on ratings, and a big rating gap compounds over 38 games: that is why the leader's number looks bold. A 35% favourite still fails to win the title in 65of every 100 simulated seasons. Treat this as the AI's best read of the race, not a prophecy. Frequently asked questions

Who is the favourite to win the Premier League 2026-27?

The SeerPlay AI makes Arsenal the favourite at 35%, ahead of Man City at 23%. These are probabilities from 10,000 simulations of the full season, not a guarantee.

How are these title probabilities calculated?

Every club carries an Elo rating. For each remaining fixture the model builds a draw-aware Elo-to-Poisson forecast of the score, then plays the whole season out 10,000 times, building the final table from points, goal difference and goals scored. A club's figure is the share of simulated seasons in which it finishes top.

Do the probabilities change during the season?

Yes. Every finished match is locked into the simulation as a real result and the remaining fixtures are replayed, so the numbers move with every gameweek.

Which clubs are most likely to finish in the top four?

The AI's most likely top four right now: Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool and Man United. The full top-four chances for all 20 clubs are on this page.

Which clubs are most likely to be relegated?

The AI currently has Hull City, Coventry City and Ipswich Town as the three most likely to go down. Promoted clubs start with the lowest ratings, so they carry the highest risk until results say otherwise.
